Writer
It took me three years and as many career changes to finally discover writing as a real career path. Even then, I spent seven years crafting marketing copy across various media platforms before I began writing for myself in 2021.
That’s when I fell in love with short stories — especially magical realism, inspired by authors like Aimee Bender and Sanjena Sathian. Since then, I’ve carved out dedicated time to revise old stories, write new ones, and submit to literary journals.
One day, I hope to see one of my short stories included in the ICSE English syllabus. That’s the dream!

Artist
My brand Creative Coupling derives from eclectic, original art, created by me in different mediums like watercolours, oil pastels and acrylics. The themes of the artworks are varied. You’ll find a lot of non-traditional florals and thoughtful pieces that tickle your mind and stay long after you’ve seen it. I find that these artworks have a way of growing on you.
At present I offer high quality, museum-grade art prints of my original art and collectibles which feature my original art.
In addition, under the label Tote Studio India, I design premium cotton tote bags featuring my artworks. These totes are made from ethically sourced, 100% compostable cotton and printed with non-polluting inks. They’re sustainably produced by a women-led workforce in Pondicherry — 90% of whom are women — making each bag a product of both art and empowerment.

Cancer warrior
I was first diagnosed with Invasive Breast Carcinoma in 2023 and have since been through numerous cancer treatments — enough to last a lifetime. As of May 2025, I’m on my third chemo drug — and here’s hoping third time’s the charm.
This is the hardest part of my life to write about, because I’m still living through it in real time. So far, I’ve felt everything from anger to deep depression. But lately, my outlook has shifted — becoming more defiant, and surprisingly, more hopeful. Pouring my energy into my art and business has given me a new perspective, and in many ways, it’s been deeply fulfilling.
